Kei Nishikori defeats Roger Federer 3-6 7-5 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the Sony Ericsson Open

Hello! How exciting, you are brave to watch be watching the tail end of a tournament live haha, it took me three years to get enough ‘courage’ to. Federer’s possibility of reaching the later rounds of a masters event is as great as the guy’s. Coming out of the Australian Open, these are hugely interesting times for the ATP top 10, and I would go as far as to say there isn’t much between one player and the next.
From Federer’s performance so far this season, I wouldn’t bet against him reaching at least the semifinals. He has the confidence and drive, especially as he didn’t play Miami last year so it will be a great opportunity for him.
I have never been to a masters 1000 tournament, so I am not sure what they are like around the grounds for spectators. But from all I have read and my experience, the best place to get up close to players is always at practice courts. So when you are in Miami hopefully there is a way to know which players are practicing where (keep checking with Miami’s website and twitter), and then get yourself to the court Federer is practicing at early and try your luck. :) He is very gracious with signing at taking photos, all you have to do is ask, the man rarely says no. :D
Thank you, enjoy your time at the tournament, best of luck with getting a photo/autograph and I really do hope you get to see Federer play.
